Julien Hanson graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Liège in 2002. He performed a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the same university, in the laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry, under the guidance of Jean-Michel Dogné and Bernard Pirotte. In 2007 he joined the Stefan Offermanns lab at the Pharmacology Institute of the University of Heidelberg in Germany for post-doctoral studies. He is now a Senior Research associate of the FRS-FNRS and Principal Investigator of the laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology at the GIGA and CIRM research centers of the University of Liège. His lab investigates understudied G Protein-Coupled Receptors, principally orphans.
